Our
picturesque 28 room Inn sits on its own triangle block facing the
Hudson River. Established in 1969, it has a well deserved reputation
for cleanliness, coziness and romantic flair.
The surrounding
'Meatpacking District' is one of Manhattan's most vibrant neighborhoods,
filled with art galleries, a vast array of restaurants, numerous
night clubs, upscale clothing boutiques, and the Chelsea Recreational
Piers complex.
It's small
size, unusual shape and casual atmosphere give the Liberty a unique
feel, totally unlike franchise hotels and motels. From the compact
Front Desk that protrudes like a tail at the southern end of the
building, to the pint sized bar/cafe, to the corridors lined with
'love letter' wallpaper, to the charming guest rooms (small but
cozy) - The Liberty Inn has a character all its own.
Before
or after your stay, you can enjoy a stroll, or just a few tranquil
moments, in the several parks right outside our doorstep - the Hudson
River promenade; our intimate 15th Street 'vest pocket' park; or
the soon to be famous High Line elevated park (opening Spring of
2009). |
