After 54 years, The Liberty Inn will be closing its doors on February 26, 2023.
Since first opening in 1969, our hotel has been the ‘go to’ spot for New York area couples seeking a romantic get-a-way at an affordable price – even if just for a few hours!
Our mix of casual atmosphere, romantic room features like 2 person jacuzzis, wide open views across the Hudson, and above all cleanliness, has put us in a class of our own among ‘by the hour’ hotels – and made the Liberty a slice of New York City life and culture.
It was always a team effort, made possible by a hardworking and highly skilled staff that ensured a quick, easy check in, and churned out the cleanest of rooms at twice the speed of other hotels.
But ‘All good things must come to an end’ – and so it goes with Liberty. Times have changed, our neighborhood has changed, and hotels – like people – have to know when it’s time to leave the party.
We all know that the real value of a business is measured by the satisfaction of its customers. Our public ratings and reviews – private expressions of appreciation – and high numbers of returning guests – speak for themselves on this point.
So, we want to thank the hundreds of thousands of guests who have given us the pleasure of their company during our 54 years, and wish them (at least those still around), a lifetime of Health, Happiness, and Romance!
